Rowing builds character and mental and physical discipline that helps youth thrive on the water and on land.
Our Story, Our Team
Grace Malacrida started the Mile High Rowing Club in March 2008 when no youth program was available through Rocky Mountain Rowing Club. We were originally called Rocky Mountain Junior Crew. Mile High was established as its own club in February 2009. With the help of parent volunteers, Grace launched the club with several old shells at Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Since then, Mile High has emerged to be a state and national powerhouse in rowing, regularly qualifying boats for elite national competitions and advancing many rowers on to Division I rowing in college.
Thanks to dedicated coaches and parents, the club has acquired many new rowing shells along with docks and a shed to house the team's oars and gear. Mile High High Rowing Club would like to thank all those who have dedicated their time and energy into helping the Club grow into the wonderful organization it is today.
